Eilat has a unique attraction called “What’s Up”. “What’s Up” has two main activities.
You can find Eitan Schwartz of “What’s Up” next to the promenade at the “Bridge House” with his telescope doing “sidewalk astronomy”. There you can view some

of the brighter features of the sky through the eyepiece of the telescope.

Visitors from all over the world come to Eilat and see the planets, Saturn or Jupiter or the Moon up close for the first time in their lives.

You can also participate in a real astronomical experience of about an hour and half under the dark desert sky viewing Objects both within our solar system as well as deep sky objects (dso’s) many light years away, both within our Galaxy, the Milky Way and views of other far off Galaxies.

Prices are comfortable for every visitor, ”What’s Up” the Observatory in Eilat and the Arava, likes families and has special family prices, removing the “burden”  of vacationing with a large family.  When at least 2 kids view at our “sidewalk” sight, Mom gets to see for free.  Don’t forget to tell Eitan you read about the Observatory on EilatNature.
